Birthday Cake & Groom's Cake

Okay, so I know that "birthday" is misspelled, but the cake turned out so cute. It was a white cake with cream cheese icing. The birthday girl enjoyed it, misspelling and all.

I am really proud of this cake.
This groom's cake was a
chocolate cake with buttercream icing. The bride provided a picture of a similar cake done in fondant. Since I do not work with fondant, I had to figure out how to make icing work.

Frog Cake

This cake was made to celebrate Misty's graduation from Florida State University. She is a frog fanatic, so the frog on the cake was modeled after her favorite stuffed animal. It was made of red velvet cake and buttercream icing.

Superman Cake

This Superman cake was for Misty's 26th birthday. She is in love with Superman. This two-layer butter cake was decorated with buttercream icing.

Winnie the Pooh

My sister & I made this cake for my nephew's 2nd birthday. It was a yellow cake with buttercream icing. Pooh was drawn freehand onto the cake and then decorated.

Bob the Builder

This Bob the Builder cake was a double-layer butter cake with buttercream icing that I made for my son's 2nd birthday. It required nine different colors of icing. I drew the design freehand. This cake took forever to finish!

Phone & Gun Dealer Cake

This cake was made for a section at the FDLE that handles calls from gun dealers. It was made of chocolate cake and yellow cake with buttercream icing. The phone and the gun dealer building were made entirely of cake and icing.

Clifford the Big Red Dog

At the time, my son was not hooked on any particular character, but his favorite color was red. So for his first birthday, my sister and I made this Clifford cake. This cake was made with one chocolate and one yellow sheet cake placed side by side. The shape was cut out freehand. Buttercream icing was used to decorate.

Daisy Cake

This cake was made for Baby Sarah's baby shower. This was a (thick) single-layered cake with cream cheese icing. Welcome, Sarah!

Lingerie Cake

This two-layered chocolate cake with buttercream icing was for a lingerie shower. The bride's colors were blue & brown. She liked it so much that she asked me to make the groom's cake. (See "Groom's Cake" post)

Spiderman Cake & Cookies

This Spiderman cake was a two-layered French vanilla cake with buttercream icing. When Layton saw it for the first time, his reaction was, "Whoa, Mom! My cake is cool!" Enough said.

The Spiderman cookies were for his class at school. They were sugar cookies with buttercream icing. They were a big hit!
